The 23/24 Film Making Challenge

The Brief

Each year we aspire to make our own bad film as moral penance for how he ridicule other bad film makers over the year. The method we use is fairly usual - we have about 6 teams from props to filming to editing who pull the whole thing together over reading week. However, there is a catch - each team are forbidden from having any contact with any other team outside of what they pass onto them, whether that be just the scrip of the props we pull from the charity shops.

The challenge is designed to be fun, lighthearted and for beginners. It is open to any student in Edinburgh so even if you haven’t been to a screening of ours or have no experience in film making, sign up.

At the end of it we will host a formal premier with a QnA. The film will take at most 4 days of your time and we have included links to our two previous films

Warning: Taking part in this challenge will absolutely destroy any chance at a future acting career

(22/23) Lunar Battle V: The Truck Nuts Strike Back

Last years sci-fi film, featuring bananas, horrific CGI and some soul breaking dialogue

(21/22) Blood on my Gilet

Our first bad film made in collaboration in Film Making Society. Filmed entirely in the dead of night in the JCMB, this vampire film miraculously only received one noise complaint.
